The “Zipfeklatscher” [‘tsɪbfəglʌdʃə] is a friendly anti-hero; you can’t bear him a grudge. Still, sometimes you’re tempted to tell the guy to get his act together… Just to join him for a beer afterwards. In these days, where civility and good manners have become a rarity, it’s important to enjoy the good things in life. Such as an IPA. A really drinkable, quaffable one. And as well-rounded as an IPA can be. In the case of the Zipfeklatscher this means: a nose full of peach, grapefruit, and pine. On the palate more tropical fruit like papaya ad lychee, well-balanced carbon dioxide and just a touch of a fine malty character. At the end a little bit of bitterness. And a very long finish.
